SEEDFINANCE Partners… Huge Achievers!
Three of SEEDFINANCE’s Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs) have made the microfinance industry proud as they receive citations and distinctions last July 24, 2012 from the Small Business Corporation (SBC)*.
With serious determination and inspired effort to serve the microfinance sector, these three outstanding PFIs, along with SEEDFINANCE, itself, have been awarded as Distinguished Partners of SBC for wholesale microfinance lending:
Pag-inupdanay, Inc. (PI) is a Negros Occidental-based microfinance NGO that works with poor communities in the island in pursuit of local economic development. Through its micro-credit program and social enterprise services, it was able to reach 45,711 poor women, 8,488 men and their benefitting household members. Hence, it has been awarded by SBC as its Distinguished Partner in the Visayas area.
Cooperative Rural Bank of Bulacan (CRBB), on the other hand, envisions itself of becoming a globally-recognized cooperative bank and aims to be a prime mover of development by providing innovative and responsive banking services. True to its noble goal, CRBB serves close to 200,000 clients, which huge number is significantly contributing to the progress of the community, especially in Central Luzon.
Dumanjug Multi-Purpose Cooperative (DMPC), last but not the least, is a multi-purpose cooperative with a considerable portfolio on microfinance. It is based in Cebu and serves a large portion of micro-entrepreneurs in the province through its 10 active branches. It offers microloans and savings with business development services to 137,804 underserved poor individuals.
PI, CRBB, and DMPC indeed share the same zeal with SEEDFINANCE in building economically self-sustainable communities. The character, composure, focus and courage have earned these organizations the success that they truly deserve and these milestones granted by SBC will surely inspire them to achieve more successes in the years and decades to come.
